I really need to take a new picture of the Airstream. This was taken right after we got it last year! I'll take one with the awnings out so you can see how "hard" it is to camp! LOL

I was having a TERRIBLE time trying to route us from California to Mountain View, Arkansas and still have a week to spend in Arkansas. Finally got David to look at my list. For some reason, I'd missed a day here and there and several days in one week! Now I have more time to devote to stopping in California! Still want to visit Death Valley, but David took that one off the trip route. It's already 104 degrees there during the day. Imagine driving a large pickup truck pulling a metal Airstream RV through the desert. What was I thinking!!!! Maybe we could go at night? LOL

I should have our route plotted on the next post and I hope it's in a few days!

We are taking another person with us on this trip! It's a local TV celebrity and he's looking forward to traveling with us. Any guesses? I'll have his picture on the blog in a few days!

Making the first move!

I'm currently laying out the trip - The Last of the Great 48! Once we complete this eight week journey, we will have covered the entire continental United States since we began RVing about eight years ago. We'll be leaving the day after Mother's Day - Monday, May 12, 2008.

This year's trip will take us to Washington, Oregon, and California! We've been to Washington and California before, but never with the RV. Really looking forward to this trip.

We're stopping in Grand Teton and Yellowstone for about a week. Our friends in North Carolina, Susan and Eddie, will be flying in to meet us there. I plan to take lots of early morning shots of the Tetons so I hope they like getting up early! LOL
