Day 27 - We meet Audrey!

After talking with Audrey on the phone the day before, we made plans to meet at a church garage sale Saturday and she was so gracious about us being there early!

We got to the church right around lunch time. Audrey greeted me at the door with a big hug and introduced me to all her friends. Then it was time for some serious conversation over Mexican food. Both the food and conversation were great. All too soon it was time for Audrey to go back to work at the church. We made plans for the next day and headed back to our campground.

We spent the rest of the afternoon exploring Cape Arago since we were camped on Cape Arago Road. We stopped at all the rest areas and viewpoints. One we stopped at was curiously noisy. There were barking sea lions just offshore and you could hear them before you got there. We watched them through the binoculars for awhile and worked our way on down the coast.

At the end of the Cape, the road makes a circle back to the road, but there is a beautiful viewpoint there. We walked out a trail close to the water. It ended 500' or so from the seals! They were barking and making a racket. Chrissy had been a good dog until this point. The seals terrified her. She refused to walk and cowered down on the trail. David finally had to pick her up and carry her back. She wanted no part of those seals.

We headed back to the RV to catch up on laundry and chores. We'll go to church tomorrow with Audrey.
