Day 44 - The Heat Lets Up...a little

We have about a three hour drive today across the desert and mountains to reach Flagstaff. We left while it was still cool.

A large portion of Highway 89 runs through the Navajo Reservation. It's hard country here and I'm not sure how they make a living here.

Just before Cameron, I noticed dirt in the air. I first though someone was plowing, but realized you don't plow in the desert! It was a dust devil. The photo I got was shot out the window while we were driving. We could see it for a long time.

We got to the campground and is it ever nice here. It's breezy and in the 80's. It's a "senior-oriented" campground so it's quiet. We'll stay at a KOA sometimes, but its usually full of kids. This campground isn't a KOA and it's nice and quiet.

After lunch outside under a tree, we met our neighbor. She has two dachshunds. They're much older than Chrissy and Chrissy couldn't understand why they wouldn't play with her!

Nap time again!

Spent the afternoon catching up the blog. Ahhhh. Wi-fi!

Happy Anniversary to Keith and Rebecca!

David's cooking dinner and I'm signing off now. Tomorrow is Gallup, NM!

See ya down the road!

Jenny :)
